TutorConnect

Traditional tutoring platforms often act as intermediaries, making it difficult for students and parents to compare tutors and communicate directly without additional fees or restricted contact information. TutorConnect provides a transparent marketplace where tutors manage their own profiles, pricing, subjects, and availability while learners can discover and connect with tutors directly.

A React single-page application uses TanStack Router for type-safe file-based routing and TanStack Query for server-state management, caching, and data synchronization. Supabase provides authentication, PostgreSQL database services, Row Level Security (RLS), and profile image storage. Protected routes and database policies enforce role-based access and ensure sensitive information, such as tutor contact details, is only revealed after an accepted connection request.

Designed and developed the full-stack application, including the React frontend, type-safe routing, server-state management, authentication flows, role-based dashboards, tutor discovery experience, connection request workflow, and Supabase database integration with PostgreSQL Row Level Security.

Demonstrates practical full-stack product development with role-based access control, secure database design, server-state management, authentication, and complex user workflows. The project showcases how a marketplace platform can combine a modern React architecture with Supabase and PostgreSQL security policies to support multiple user roles and controlled access to sensitive data.
